How to Apply

Step 1. RSVP & Attend an OLS Information Session

Information Sessions are for prospective students and their families to find out more details about the program. Join a panel of current OLS students as they share why they are earning this degree, and describe OLS courses and experiences. Next Information Session:

Step 2. Complete the OLS Application Process

OLS Application completed by prospective student:


□    OLS Application Materials with $60 application fee. Please make check Payable to: OLS at Bellevue College. OLS Application Materials will be available January 1st, 2017.


□    Two Recommendation Forms completed by an educator, employer or supervisor. No family please (Download)


□    Evaluation Documentation (IEP & Academic Testing from your high school counselor or clinical psychologist) – We need documentation of the following scores:


·   Full Scale IQ (70 or above)

·   Reading Comprehension

·   Written Expression

·   Math Reasoning

□    High School and College Transcripts (if applicable)

Once applications are received, applicants will be notified within three weeks after the admission due date. If application requirements are met, the applicant will be invited to an in-person assessment. The OLS assessment will measure baseline skills. Decision for admission will be made after the assessment process. Once the prospective student has passed the assessment, he or she will be invited to attend OLS in the fall.

Step 3. Apply for Financial Aid

ALL students seeking admission to OLS should apply for FAFSA as soon as possible in order to receive priority funding.


Once accepted into the OLS program, students should:

 

□ Apply for Bellevue College Admissions (Required for ALL BC students)

 

Once a Student Identification number has been obtained, visit the BC Financial Aid website. Follow steps to apply for financial aid.


Note: 60-90 days are required for the Financial Aid office to evaluate applications and produce an award letter. Application Deadline for Fall 2016 Financial Aid is July 29th, 2016.
